Who is responsible
SnapText is a pre-release product operated by Inger Ekman in Stockholm, Sweden. Inger Ekman is responsible for the personal data described here.

What SnapText handles
Account data. Your name, email address, authentication information, profile photo and preferences.
Material you capture. Events, photographs, written and voice notes, tags and other material you choose to add.
LinkedIn data. If you connect LinkedIn, SnapText receives only the information shown on LinkedIn's consent screen that you approve. SnapText never receives your LinkedIn password.
Connection data. A connection QR code creates a temporary, hard-to-guess link containing only the identity information you choose to share. Private notes and tags are never published on that page.
Technical data. Device and app version, timestamps, diagnostics, security events and basic operational data needed to keep the test service working.
Why it is used
Data is used to create and secure your account; save, organise and export your captures; connect LinkedIn when requested; operate temporary QR connection pages; provide support; and diagnose failures.
The legal basis depends on the activity and may be performance of the service, your consent, legal obligations, or the legitimate interest in operating and securing SnapText. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful use.
What remains private
Private notes, photos, tags and event material are not placed on a public connection page. People attending the same event do not automatically see one another's snaps or contacts.
Connection links are designed to be unguessable, limited to one purpose and short-lived. They stop working after expiry or revocation.
Sharing and providers
Data may be processed by the hosting, authentication and support providers needed to run SnapText, and by LinkedIn only when you start a LinkedIn connection. Selected identity information is shown to a person who scans a connection QR code.
Information may also be disclosed when required by law or during a business transfer with suitable safeguards. SnapText does not sell personal data or use private captures for third-party advertising.
Retention and deletion
Account data and captured material are kept while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When deletion is requested, data is removed from active systems within a reasonable operational period. Limited copies may remain temporarily in protected backups or security logs before automatic expiry.
Spreadsheet exports are under your control after download.
Security and transfers
Safeguards include authenticated access, separation between users, encrypted network transport, scoped public tokens and restricted production access. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
If data is processed outside the European Economic Area, an approved transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards will be used where required.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to information, access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection, withdrawal of consent and complaint to a data-protection authority. Identity may need to be verified before a request is completed.
SnapText is intended for adults attending professional events and is not directed to children.
Other people’s data
Before photographing or recording another person, respect their consent, reasonable expectations and the rules of the event. If another user captured your information, that user may independently control their private notes and exports.
Changes
This notice will evolve as SnapText's features and infrastructure develop. The date above will change, and additional notice will be given when a change materially affects how personal data is used.
